COUPLES THERAPY
healing doesn't happen in isolation, it happens in connection.
I believe every relationship has the potential to grow when provided with the right tools, communication strategies, and intention. Maybe you feel more like business partners than lovers, or perhaps you’re caught in a cycle of conflict. No matter what stage of romance you find yourselves in, I’m here to help you deepen your bond.

together we’ll work to move from:
Feeling unheard to feeling seen and understood
Walking on eggshells to feeling free to be yourself
Constant conflict to productive, respectful conversations
Dull routines and distance to renewed energy and affection
Uneven effort to a shared sense of responsibility
Resentment to trust, commitment, and closeness
Feeling misunderstood to being witnessed in your fullness
Anger and frustration to honest, compassionate expression
My role is to help you untangle what’s been getting in the way, offer solutions you can truly use, and walk with you as you rebuild a relationship that once again feels like home.

The most connected couples aren’t those who avoid storms — they’re the ones who know how to calm them together.

my approach
When working with couples, my goal is to meet each of you where you are — as individuals and as partners — while also caring for your relationship as its own living, breathing connection. I draw on proven approaches that help you understand each other more deeply, break unhelpful patterns, and build a stronger foundation for the future you want together.
The Gottman Method by Dr.’s Julie and John Gottman
This approach gives couples practical, research-backed tools to improve communication, deepen intimacy, and rebuild trust. It focuses on learning how to navigate conflict respectfully, strengthen your friendship, and create a shared vision for the future.
Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg
NVC is a compassionate communication style that helps you express yourself honestly and listen without judgment. It’s about understanding each other’s needs more clearly, so you can work through challenges with empathy and respect — even when the conversation is hard.
By integrating these proven approaches with other holistic, healing methods, I’ll help you understand each other more deeply, break damaging patterns, and build a stronger foundation for your future together.

Couples therapy is a space where both partners come together with the shared intention of improving their relationship. Sometimes that means rebuilding trust after an affair, strengthening communication, navigating parenting differences, or learning to take accountability. In this work, the relationship itself is the “client,” and we explore what each partner contributes to its health and growth. Just like with individual therapy, there’s no one-size-fits-all path. Each couple’s journey will look different, but the goal is always to create a stronger, more connected partnership.
-
Couples therapy works best when both partners are ready to engage, but growth is still possible even if one person isn’t ready. If your partner chooses not to participate, you can still begin individual therapy to focus on your role in the relationship and the changes you can make. Working on yourself can shift repetitive behaviors, clarify boundaries, and open new possibilities even if your partner is not yet ready to join the process. Sometimes, one person’s willingness to grow can inspire change in the other; other times, it can help bring clarity about the future of the relationship.
-
The first couples session is focused on intake. Together, we’ll explore your relationship history, current struggles, and shared goals for therapy. This time allows both partners to share perspectives in a safe and supportive space.
In the second and third sessions, I’ll meet with each of your individually to allow each partner one-on-one time to speak freely and comfortably about their relationship and struggles.
In the fourth session, both partners are welcomed back, together, to begin the therapy work itself, which often includes open dialogue, guided exercises, and opportunities to practice new communication and connection strategies together.
